I always rather liked the pictures on postcards and in old books of a water tower that used to stand in Lublin. It was demolished after the second world war, the last picture I have of it in 1944 show it took at least one direct hit in the short battle for Lublin. A few years ago they erected a fountain on the site of the tower, with this bronze model of the tower in the centre.
I have used the fountain before in a picture of Ania to try and show her that there is more to a good picture than standing and smiling in front of the camera.
I was lucky this day, because the pigeons were perfectly placed, and all I had to do was remove all the background except the satellite dishes.
